Note: This is just your basic rotation. For more advanced
Click Here for a Addon with Pre-Made 5.3 Rotations

Single Targets

Agony
Cast on target, and always keep it up.

Corruption
Cast on target, and always keep it up.

Unstable Affliction
Cast on target, and always keep it up.

Haunt
Use when you have a Soul Shard or if you’re in Shadow Trance. When you enter Shadow Trance, you can cast spells for 5 seconds, and they don’t cost any Soul Shards.

Malefic Grasp
Only use when you have all your dots up and Haunt isn’t available.

Drain Soul
When target is below 20%, start using this instead of Malefic Grasp.

Soulburn/Soul Swap
When you have tons of Soul Shards from using Drain Soul, start using Soulburn and Soul Swap to refresh dots.

Multiple Targets

SoulBurn/Seed of Corruption
Start with Soulburn, then cast Seed of Corruption.

Soulburn/Soul Swap
While Seeds are ticking, use both spells to keep up all of your dots.

Drain Soul
When you start seeing mobs below 20%, use Drain Soul to get your Soul Shards back.

Rain of Fire
If you have a ton of enemies, just spam Rain of Fire. The more the better.

If you’re still having trouble figuring out your Rotation or need a more advanced one, then check out the addon I use called Edge.

Single Targets

Conflagrate
You should be casting this as often as you can.

Chaos Bolt
Cast whenever you get Burning Embers. Unless you have 3 Backdraft charges, it’s way more efficient to use the charges for Incinerate.

Immolate
Cast, and make sure it’s always up.

Incinerate
Start casting to build up those Burning Embers.

Shadowburn
When target is at 20% start using Shadowburn instead of Chaos Bolt.

Multiple Targets

Normal Rotation
Keep up your rotation on at least one enemy, so you can continue to build up Burning Embers.

Fire and Brimstone/Immolate
Get at least ten Burning Embers, then cast Fire and Brimstone, followed by a Immolate. This will apply Immolate to all targets.

Rain of Fire
Cast as much as you can.

If you’re still having trouble figuring out your Rotation or need a more advanced one, then check out the addon I use called Edge.
These are a few of the addons I use whenever I'm coming up with a Warlock Rotation for patch 4.3.

Hey Darrick here,

I thought before we go over each Warlock Rotation in detail. I would share some of my favorite addons I always use that help with Warlock Rotations.

SpellFlash: Warlock

This is a really great addon for every Warlock starting out. It will give you give you advice on what spell you should do next by flashing it in your action bar. The only problem with it, is it’s usually not up to date, and like I said in the previous post your Rotation changes all the time based on the patch that comes out, but if your newer to playing a Warlock it can be a very easy alternative to spending time figuring out what Rotation you need for your Warlock.

Recount

This is pretty universally used by all classes. I use it a ton when finding the right Demo Warlock Rotation whenever I play my Bear. The reason why it helps so much with your Rotation for your Warlock is because you can keep track of what your doing the most DPS with, and it’s probably the easiest addon to set-up, so theirs no reason why every Warlock shouldn’t have it.

MikScrollingBattleText

Once you do find the Best Warlock Rotation this will really help keeping track your doing it in order. It will keep track of your cooldowns as well as tons of other spells and abilities. Which are to many to name.

Those are a few of the addons I use when deciding what the right Warlock Rotation is. Please let me know what you think of them.

I explain how to keep updated with your Warlock Rotation.

Hey everyone,

Welcome to Warlock Rotation! I love talking about World of Warcraft, and I’m excited to share with everyone my experiences when making Rotations for Warlocks.

I think the best way to start is by going over the best ways to figure out how to use the right Rotation for a Locks. Followed by detailed rotations for each spec every time a new patch comes out.

Usually every time WoW comes out with a new patch your general Rotation won’t change much, but Blizzard has a tendency of coming out with some pretty big patches (like the most recent one 4.3), and if that happens you may have to change things up a lot depending on what Warlock changes they make. so I will try and keep everyone updated on the latest changes.

That being said, I hope everyone enjoys Warlock Rotation, and I also love feedback so if you see any mistakes or have any comments don’t hesitate to let me know.
